3 Easy Ways To Eat More Fruit & Veg

We all know how important it is to eat our fruits and vegetables and are all too familiar with the recommendation to eat 5 portions a day. 

With our ever increasing busy lifestyles and continuously growing convenient fast food options, how can we make sure that we are getting enough essential nutrients, fibre, vitamins and minerals from fruits and veggies that will keep us in optimal health?

Here are our top 3 tips to cram in that extra nutrition that are also idea for those fussy eaters in the family!

Smoothies

Smoothies are a fast and easy way to have a delicious and healthy snack or treat. You can cram in many different varieties to get a diverse range of vitamins and minerals. Our favourites are strawberries, blueberries and bananas for an extra creamy taste. Just add milk or water and give it a blast in your food blender. Yummy!

Overnight Oats

Such a simple recipe to make sure you wake up to that important meal of the day, breakfast! In a mason jar, add your favourite fruits, oats with milk, yoghurt (or a vega alternative) for that added protein and let the oats soak up the goodness overnight. Such a great way to start your day full of energy.

Veggie soup is one of my all time favourites. So simple and quick to make, this nutrient dense dish will tick all the boxes when it comes to getting your five a day. Experiment with different stocks, spices and seasonal vegetables to give variety.
